The Bridge spent years of intensive study and research to make students acquire a second langauge naturally. We have perfected the art of language learning. The Bridge Method of teaching focuses on an individual's learning ability and unique adaptability towards the language. Our native instructors takes the immersion approach of getting your new language patterns into long term memory. We believe that language learning is a process that should come naturally to everyone. Children learned to utter their first words by imitation, not through tedious scanning of thesauruses and long sleepless nights reviewing hand-outs. Young children learn their native language in just this way, since they are surrounded by parents who essentially speak a "foreign" tongue.

Learning a second language can also be affected by the patterns of the first language. This is referred to as linguistic interference. There can be some blending of phonemes. For instance, most Chinese who learn English in high school or college pronounce English words with a distinctive Chinese accent. Grammar can also be affected. Chinese speakers who learn both English and Tagalog can sometimes combine grammatical rules of both when speaking either of them. Linguistic interference can also be a problem in learning and using another dialect of a language you already know but this has all be addressed using The Bridge Method of learning.
