The Bridge Language Immersion Program

Throughout the world, millions of people are studying a foreign language everyday. The Bridge provides a unique immersion program for students interested in studying in the Philippines. Our immersion program provides you the opportunity to study alongside Filipino and international students from around the world.

During your visit, participants will be provided a guide that includes important details about their experience in the Philippines. An in-depth orientation will be provided after an airport pickup that includes a tour of the Bridge and the surrounding area, the Philippine culture, and the academic program. Our housing program is included in the package and we provide round the clock transportation and security for our students.

Our immersion programs are designed to help students develop a critical understanding of the comprehensive and particular areas of their language of choice.

Enchanted Kingdom Field Trip

Activities and excursions are a great way to practice language outside of class while getting to know the culture around you. The Bridge offers complimentary activities including staff and student happy hours, where you can get together with classmates to watch a Filipino movie. Another popular option (available for a small additional charge) is sports lessons with a professional instructor.

To help you explore the fascinating city of Manila while continuing to practice your language, the school also arranges one guided afternoon excursions per level. Excursions are included in the cost of all programs; however, students are expected to pay for their own public transportation costs and entrance fees (if applicable). We invite you to participate in as many as possible to truly make the most of your time in the Philippines!

Insights

Our Filipino and English Language program uses the functional-situational approach in learning a language. Our classes are filled with activities including games, songs, role plays, and writing exercises.

At the end of the basic course that runs for 96 hours, students should be able to use the language in greetings, visiting a friend's house, shopping, telling the time, making an appointment, asking and giving directions, going to a medical facility, expressing feelings.

Our intermediate program (96 hours) equips our students with the necessary skills in the effective use of a language in terms of defining, explaining, describing, and narrating a story.
